The Lions are the world's largest service organization, representing nearly 1.5 million members in over 180 countries and geographic locations.

Who are the West Mifflin Lions?

The West Mifflin Lions are individuals who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in the West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, regional and world communities.  By conducting service projects and by raising funds, the West Mifflin Lions strive to help those in need, wherever the need exists.

What do the West Mifflin LIONS do?

The West Mifflin Lions donate yearly to various local, state, regional, national organizations and to individuals in need. Local donations in 2005 included: West Mifflin & Whitaker Fire Companies, Carnegie Library, Dogs For The Deaf, Salvation Army, Early Learning, Pittsburgh Vision Services, Lions Beacon Lodge, Walnut Grove Food Bank, Make-A-Wish, Radio Information Services, Western PA Hearing Foundation, P-G Children's Hospital Fund, Titan Grid Boosters, Lady Titans, Mifflin Township Historical Society & Mallory Oross Fund. 

How can I help?

By supporting our fundraising efforts in the West Mifflin/Duquesne area you are supporting your community.  All monies raised in the West Mifflin/Duquesne communities stay in those communities!

  • Pancake breakfast

  • Spaghetti Dinner

 

Membership in the West Mifflin, PA. Lions Club is by invitation.  Members come from varying professions and age groups.  This variety in membership provides for a good cross section of ideas and fellowship.  Members are service minded people who serve the community without personal or financial reward. 

Our Club members are continually searching for charitable individuals of good moral character and integrity who wish to "Make a Difference" and contribute to their community. 

 We welcome individuals of goodwill to contact  a member and let him know you are interested.

 Applicants must be twenty one years old or older and approved by the Club members prior to membership.

At the present time our Director's Meetings are held on the First Wednesday at Homeville Fire Hall; Dinner Meetings are held the Fourth Wednesday.  Check our DATES TO REMEMBER section for more information on our upcoming activities.
