Record rainfall and surrounding floodwaters fell way to pristine blue skies as the annual POW/MIA Vigil sponsored by Vietnam Veterans Inc. of Pittsburgh began as scheduled at 12 p.m., September 18. Traditionally held in Pittsburgh's Point State Park, this year's change of venue was fortunate as the surging Allegheny and Monongahela rivers put the customary site off limits. |
