Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post 914 'Intrepid' West Mifflin is pleased to
announce the following winners of the Walter Kuczma Scholarship Award.
First Place: Brian Conway
Second Place: Jessica Cale
Third Place: Laura Hrico
The students were awarded prizes of $300, $200 and $100 respectively for their efforts.
The annual scholarship award is open to West Mifflin High School seniors
who have had a family member serve in the armed forces of the United States.
To qualify for the scholarship awards, participants were required to write
a brief essay following the theme
"How Should We Best Honor These Who've Defended Our Nation's Freedoms?"
The winners will receive their checks during a ceremony at 7 p.m. May 22
in the West Mifflin High School auditorium. |
