Married-FRITZ-GIFFIN-On Tuesday, March 17, 1891, the Rev. W.J. Robenson married M. Fritz and Ella B Gifin, both of Elders Ridge, PA

Died:
CORWIN-On Tuesday, March 17, 1891, at residence of parents, number 2219 Center Avenue, Martha Foster,
infant daughter of WB and Mary Emma Corwin, aged 16
days. Interment private. No services.

CAMPBELL-On Monday, March 16, 1891, at 7:15 am, James P, son of Mary and the late James Campbell, aged 15 years, 4 months, and 11 days.  The funeral will take place from the residence of his mother, McCandless
avenue on Wednesday at 2:30 pm. Friends of the family
are respectfully invited to attend.

COOPER-On Sunday, March 15, 1891, at 10 pm William Cooper, aged 28 years, 11 months.  Funeral from his late residence, Woolslayer, between Thirty-eighth and Thirty-ninth sts on Wednesday March 18 at 9am. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

DUFFY-On Sunday, March 15, 1891, at 3 pm, at his
residence, Oakmont, AVRR, John Duffy, aged 35 years.

to proceed to St. John's Church, 32nd street where
mass will be said at 9 am. Friends of the family are

DAVISON-On Monday, March 16, 1891,at 9:20 am after a long illness, Isabella, beloved wife of James Davison, aged 47 years.  The funeral will take place from the residence of her husband, McCandless avenue, near
Stanton today at 10 am. Friends of the family are
respectfully invited to attend.

HITCHCOCK- At 6 o'clock  Tuesday morning, March 17, 1891, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. J.D.
Hanecook, Franklin, Pa. L.P. Hitchcock, formerly of
Washington, Pa, late of Pittsburgh, in the 78th year
of his age.

KLEIN- On Monday, March 16, 1891, at 6:30 am, Carl
Klein, in the 62nd year of his age.  Funeral will take
place from the residence of his son-in-law, Jacob Wortz, number 4418 Calvin street, 17th Ward, Wednesday, March 18 at 9 am.   Requiem high mass at St. Augustin's Church at 9:30 am.  Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

LEONARD- At the residence of her parents, number 75 Amanda avenue, Knoxville borough, on Tuesday, March 17, 1891 at 12:30 o'clock Anna Grace, daughter of T.W. and May E. Leonard, aged 2 months.  Funeral services today at 3 pm.  Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

McCUNE-THOMAS McCUNE, at his residence, Pitt street, near Amanda avenue, Wilkinsburg at 3:11 pm, Sabbath, March 15, 1891, in the 47th year of his age.  Funeral Wednesday at 1 o'clock.

March 15, 1891 Elizabeth McCreddie, in her 91st year.
Funeral today at 9:30 am Interment private.

MOORE- On Monday, March 16, 1891, at 4 pm Michael Moore, aged 53 years. Funeral will take place from his late residence, Forty fourth and Geniva streets today at 8:30 am.  Friends of the family are respectfully

McCARTY- On Monday, March 16, 1891, at 8 pm, Annie, wife of James McCarty, in the 38th year of her age. Funeral will take place from St. Francis Hospital
today at 2 pm. Friends of the family are respectfully

McELROY- On Tuesday, March 17, 1891 at 1 am, Eliza B. McElroy, aged 70 years. Funeral services at the
residence of her -------East End today at 2 pm.
Interment private.

MULLEN- On Monday, March 16, 1891, at 11:30 am at his residence, corner Bedford avenue and Shade street, 13th Ward, Pittsburgh, James Mullen aged 60 years. Funeral on Wednesday, March 18 at 2 pm.  Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

PHELPS- On Monday, March 16, 1891, at 6:30 am Martha S. Phelps, in her 78th year. Funeral services at the residence of her husband, George P. Phelps, 119 Bluff street, Wednesday, March 18 at 2 pm.  Interment
private at a later hour.
STARRETT- On Monday, March 16, 1891, at 1:20 am, at the residence of her parents, 169 Sandusky street,
Allegheny, Ella R Starrett, in the 20th year of her age.  Funeral services on Wednesday morning, March 18

STRATHERN- On Sunday, March 15, 1891, Sarah E Jackson, wife of James R. Strathern, aged 48 years, 1 month and 29 days.  Funeral from her late residence, Sixth street, Braddock on Wednesday at 2:30 pm.  Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

SCHWAN- On Monday, March 16, 1891, at 2 pm, Annie J., wife of Charles Schwan, in her 54th year.  Funeral from the family residence, Margaretta street near
Negley avenue today at 9 am.  Requiem high mass at St.
Peter and Paul's church, Larimer avenue at 9:30 am.

THRESHER- On Sunday, March 15, 1891, JE, only son of Eliza and John Thresher, at the father's residence, 20
Lombard street, Allegheny, aged 17 yers and 2 months.
Friends of the family are respectfully invited to
attend the funeral services today at 2 pm. Interment
private at a later hour.

SUTTON- On Monday morning, February (sic) 16, 1891, at 1 o'clock, RC Sutton. Funeral services at Samsonle chapel, Sixth street this morning March 18 at 10 o'clock. Interment private at a later hour.

SLOCUM- On Sunday, March 15, 1891 at his residence Brownsville PA, James Slocum, in the 80th year of his age.  Funeral on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment at Brownsville cemetery.  Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

ULRICH- On Sunday morning, March 15, 1891 at 5
o'clock, Mary, relict of the late Anthony Ulrich, aged
62 years, 1 month, ?  days. Funeral will take place
from her late residence number 358 Fifth avenue  on
Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock, to proceed to St.
Philomena's church, where requiem high mass will be
read at 9 o'clock. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

FOUND DEAD IN BED
Special to the Commercial Gazette: Kittanning, PA,
March 17-E.P.  Evans, principal of the Kittanning
schools, was found dead in bed at his boarding house
this morning.  Prof. Evans came here from Bradford
county in the summer of 1890. He was a graduate of
M-ville College and was held in high esteem.

FATAL ACCIDENT AT BENWOOD
Special to the Commercial Gazette: Wheeling, WV, March 17-By the giving way  of a trestle on the Baltimore & Ohio road at ? this morning, four Italians fell 20 feet and one of these number, Frank Thomas, had his
brains dashed out.  The others were seriously wounded.

A BRAKEMAN FATALLY CRUSHED

17-J.D. Dean, a freight brakeman on the Wheeling &
Lake Erie road, fell between the cars of a moving
train at Orrville today and died within two hours from
the injuries he received.  He was 24 years old, married the 27th of last month, and lived at Freemont.

MET A HORRIBLE DEATH
Special to the Commercial Gazette: Newark, O, March
17-John O.  Laws, a former prominent school teacher
engaged in farming in Union township met a horrible
death at Union station this afternoon.  He attempted
to cross the track, and stepped out from behind the
Panhandle pay-car, which was on the north track, onto
the south track.  Just as he did so he was struck by
engine number 60 of the Baltimore & Ohio eastbound
passenger train and run over and was crushed in an
awful manner.  Pieces of flesh were carried into Newark and blood covered the tracks and steps of the cars.  Laws was unmarried and age 35.

INCENDIARIES AT FINLEYVILLE
Special to the Commercial Gazette: Finleyville, PA
March 17-At 2 o'clock this morning a fire destroyed
the engine house and locomotive at Henry Floersheim's
house.  As no fire was left in the building it is believed that it was ignited by incendiaries. The loss is $3000, which is fully covered by insurance.
