HANDS/ VERSCHUEREN/ WILLHOFT/RUSH

I am researching my great grandfather, Samuel Clarence Hands, and his family.  He died after an auto accident on May 18,1954  in Claysville. He was born Nov. 22, 1884 or 85 around  Coal Center or Daisytown.  I know his mother's name was Anna and that he had at least two brothers, Curtis and William, and at least two sisters, Jennie and Edna.  Edan married a Charles Rush, also of Washington Co.  I know that Samuel lived in New Eagle and Claysville at different times and also spent time in Ohio.  He was an iron worker.  He was married for a time to an Ella Verschueren, daughter of Earnest Verschueren of McDonald. Sam's daughter, Lenora Hands Willhoft was married to Joseph Willhoft of Claysville.

Hello. My name is Carla Marie Hall my maiden last name was Washington. My mom had passed away when I was 4,and she had left my brother and 2 sisters, she died in a car accident along with my cousin mother also, it's has been so long without her but I truly do miss her so much I hope you could  understand me. She was very young when  she  had  passed away, I go visit her grave site me and my 2 sisters, my baby sister she didn't even get to know her mom. We had went to our family to see if they can tell more story about our mother, I was told that she  was a very nice and sweet, beautiful young lady that my dad had married, you just don't know how bad we truly miss our mother my dad don't date any more after her death I can truly understand why. I know that she is in heaven with her lord and saver Christ and that  she  is my guardian angel from of above, we talk a lot I feel her present upon me and my family she will never be forgotten and our hearts, body, mind, and spirit. I am trying to find out any information I can about my family history located in Germany. The farthest I can trace right now is that my great-grandmother was named Berta Yokel and my great-grandfather was named Karl Wolf (Wolff or Wolfe). They had three children: Annalise, Inga, and Karl. Karl Wolf Sr. won the iron cross during WWI and Karl Jr joined the Lufftwaffe during the second World War. My grandmother, Annelisa, came to the United States right after the War when she married a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. Karl Wolf Jr. married a woman named Marga and had a son.

Looking for information on the JANDA family, Jacob and Maria BASTYR.
They arrive from Bohemia, 1869/1870. He was a stonemason by trade. They had six children. 1874-1884.
 
Jacob was married previously to Anna Larvova Janda. m 2-6-1872.  b ?-?-1854   d2-29-1873
George LARVA was Anna's father, .There Witnesses were Wencelas LAGO and Josef HAPNICKA.
They were Catholic.  They married in Lawrenceville, PA  Although no records found yet.
 
We do have all baptismal records for the children. God parents are TRISKA, Maria Augusta and John and BLAHNIK, Barbara and Joseph LARVA
 
Their youngest was only 2 when Jacob died, My grandfather John Gilbert YANDA. I believe that, Maria remarried after 1900-1901 as she is in the city directory as Jandoff widow of Jacob.

My Grandfather was Christ Henry Eckert, b.8/24/1980-2/1984, to Albert Eckert , b. 6/27/1861, and Anna Klaus b. 1860.  Christ married my grandmother in 1910, Helen Agatha Young, b. 9/20/1891-6/1986.  Helen's parents were Antony Young and Elizabeth Schoor Young.  Antony took his own life in 1897.  Elizabeth never remarried. 

Christ's siblings were: Nick A. Eckert, b. 2/14/1896-d.7/1964; Albert Eckert, b. 4/18/1892; Eugene Eckert, b.1908; Anna Willhelm Eckert, b. 1884; George Eckert, b. 1888; and August Eckert, b.1886. 

Helen's siblings were: Antony Augustus Young, b.3/1897 (married to Marie Miller); George Young, b. 1875 (married to Mary Warner); Emma Young, b.10/1880; Anna D. Young, b. 3/1883 (married to William Danhires); James H. Young, b 12/1893 (married to Marie L.); Adam Young, b 9/1885,-d.1910, (married to Rosalinde); Elizabeth R. Young, b. 1/19/1879-d.4/1967; and Anna M. Young, b. 1877.

Christ and Helen were married in Millvale in 1910.  In about 1926 they moved to the Cleveland, Ohio area.  Their children were: Robert Eckert, b. 7/28/1911-d.8/1985; Raymond Eckert, b. 3/30/1914-d.7/4/1972; George Eckert, b.3/13/1917-d.1/1982; and Earl William Eckert, b. in Cleveland, Ohio on 7/11/1927-d.8/20/1993.

I am trying to find any information on my grandparents Max Heller and Martha Tetzlaff who immigrated to the U.S. from Germany in 1901 or 1902 and 1911 respectively. My grandfather lived in a boarding house in Pittsburgh we think, his work was his trade of organ repairing and building. Max met and married Martha about 1915 and they left PA about 6 mos later moving to Ohio to buy land. The lived in Cleveland a short time, bought land and moved to Northfield, OH in the summer of 1917.
Appreciate your input if you have any Heller/Tetzlaff notes.

I am researching my father's paternal family, Trautman or Trautmann.  I have obtained information from Germany that my greatgrandfather, Peter Ludwig (Louis) Trautmann and my greatgrandmother, Elisabetha Bauer, emigrated to USA  in 06-1867.  Peter was born 05-11-1843 in Unter-Ostern, Germany and died in 08-1906 in Pittsburgh. Elisabetha was born 06-15-1841 in Starkenburg, Hessen and died in 1923 in Pittsburgh.  They are both buried in Rosedale Cemetery.  I am descended from their son, George Adam Trautman, b. 10-13-1870, died  1946, in Pittsburgh.  My father was George Joseph Trautman, born 04-25-1909 in Louisiana.  George Adam has siblings, John Jacob, Henry (died in Oregon), Jackie, Louis, Margaret and Walter (died in Florida)  My grandfather and 2 brothers worked in the prison system.   I am trying to get more information about my family.  Unfortunately all have died except one who does not have a lot of info.

I am looking for information regarding Johann Wolf and his brother and wife, Wilmos (William) and Matilda (Kernats) Wolf. They immigrated to the USA in 1902, from Krompach, Hungary (Slovakia) on the ship Cassel. Listed in the ship Manifest, they have as their final destination, going to brother in law, Jidius Kernats, 100 East Parkway, Pittsburg, Pa. Then in 1904, a cousin named Irma Wolf from Krompach, Hungary (Slovakia) has as final destination going to Cousin living in Pittsburg, Pa = William Wolf. Then in 1905, Etelka (Ethel in English) Wolf, sister to Irma Wolf, immigrated to the USA from Krompach, Hungary and  is also going to cousin William Wolf in Pittsburg, Pa.

 Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated and I will share any information that I do have.

Looking for info on Fleming Young - husband of Mary - Mary born in 1797 and died in 1868 and is buried at McKeesport-Versailes cemetery in McKeesport, Pa. - Fleming is not buried there. Fleming appears in the early census records in Westmoreland county. Stone on Mary says Mary - wife of Fleming Young. Margaret Buchanan Young (1825-1894) who was married to Thomas A Carnahan (1819-1900) are both buried in the same Carnahan family plot.

I am researching both the Weigand & Baumgartner families, my grandfather was Cyril Weigand, his parents (my great-grandparents) were Ambrose Weigand & Josephine Hinkel Weigand. They were from Baden, Germany and they lived on Spring Hill (Diana St) until the early 1940' when they both passed away.  Ambrose Weigand was born in 1862 and died in 1941, I don't know if he was born in the U.S. or in Germany.  Ambrose was a cabinet maker, he had 4 brothers, Conrad - born in 1850, Albert, Felix, Vincent - born in 1857, and a sister, Eleanora Weigand Mueller who had a son named Henry Mueller. 

I am also trying to do research on my grandmother's family, she was Eleanor Baumgartner Weigand, her father was Charles Baumgartner born in 1868, in Baden Germany and her mother was Catherine born around 1872???.  Charles Baumgartner was a tailor and the family lived on Spring Hill (at the bottom of Itin St).  They were also members of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on the NorthSide which is now closed.

I am trying to obtain info on my great grandparents:  Peter Louis Trautman, b. 1842 and Elizabeth Bower (Bauer?), b. 1842, both in  Darmstadt, Germany.  Both died in Pittsburgh, Peter died in 1906 and Elizabeth died in 1923.  Both buried in Rosedale Cemetery.  Any and all info on these would be deeply appreciated.  At this time my family tree for the Trautman side stops at my grandfather, George Adam Trautman, b. 10-13-1870 in Pittsburgh, Pa. died 1946. I AM RESEARCHING THE THOMAS WIGHTMAN FAMILY OF PITTSBURGH,PA. 
THOMAS CAME FROM IRELAND WITH HIS FATHER, JAMES AND HIS MOTHER, MARTHA SMILEY PLUS ALL 11 BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN 1826. THOMAS WAS A BOY. HE WAS BORN IN 1818. HE WAS PROMINENT IN THE GLASS MANUFACTURING BUSINESS IN PITTSBURGH, HAVING HIS OWN COMPANY KNOWN AS THE WIGHTMAN GLASS COMPANY. THOMAS MARRIED ISABELLA RUTH RUSSELL OF SHIPPENSBURG,PA. ISABELLA WAS DAUGHTER OF JOHN RUSSELL AND CATHERINE ANDERSON.THEY HAD 9 CHILDREN. THOMAS DIED AT 90 IN 1908 AND IS BURIED IN HOMEWOOD CEMETERY. ARE THERE ANY FAMILY MEMBERS OF OTHER WIGHTMANS  IN THE AREA??
