Gilbert of MD. Looking for
information on George W. Gilbert
His grand father born April 12,
1848. Following taking from partial
newspaper clippings.
George W.
Gilbert died while reading a paper
in the Manhattan Hotel in Glassport,
PA. He was residing at the YMCA in
Glassport, PA The J. Will Martin
Funeral House at Elizabeth, PA
handled Burial. Which was in The Old
Edmonton Burial Grounds behind hill
in Glassport, PA. He was 75 years 5
months and 13teen days old at time
of death. Listed relatives are
George Hubert Gilbert of Baltimore,
MD (Franks father), Joseph A.
Gilbert unknown address, Mrs.
Laura Gilbert Howe of Big Timber,
MONT and Mrs. Ollie Gilbert Blair of
Chester, PA both sister of deceased.
Paper obit was cut from is unknown.
Approximate date of death calculated
is Sept 25th 1923. Also listed is a
Mrs. Nan Rea....

for information on the family of HENRY and LETITICIA GREEN nee PYE....really
looking for information on the murder of LETITICA GREEN....was told my
ggaunt IRENE NAYLOR that Letitica was murdered in Pa...Letiticia came to
this country in the 1890's from Lancs England with her parents JOSEPH and
ELIZABETH PYE nee OLDING/HOLDEN..her
father was a glassworker...she was adopted by the Pyes in England...she
lived in Butler, Butler Co Pa in the 1900 census and
know she was still there in 1914 with the death of her grandmother MARY
HOLDING/HOLDEN nee GARVEY...I lose the Pye family after 1914..I do know
that Elizabeth Pye would take the train to Butler to visit her sister
KATHERINE NAYLOR nee HOLDEN/HOLDING and her brother PETER
HOLDING/HOLDEN...her other bro JAMES HOLDEN m LOUISE BURNS and moved to
Youngstown Ohio...
Letitica married a HENRY GREEN and had know children Dorothy, James and
Rosella [died as infant]...my gaunts addressbook from the 1980's backward
have a listing for a James Green and family at Memory Lane in McKeesport,
Pa...then the family moved to N.C.....can anyone shed some light on this
story ? Was she murdered in McKeesport Pa? Please contact me
