I am looking for information on the Davies family: Thomas B. Davies, Mary Lloyd Davies and children, Mary A. Davies (Harding), Jane (Jennie) Davies (McGinty) (Johnston?) and Thomas W. Davies (wife Bitner).  They all came from Wales.  Jane Davies was married to Thomas McGinty.  McGinty died in 1909 after falling from a boiler at the Mesta Machine Company.  Jane McGinty lived at this time on 8th Avenue with her daughter, Hildagarde, and two boarders, Sofia and _____? Lutz.  Thomas W. Davies owned a Hotel at 513 Dickson Avenue.  He was killed in a fire at the hotel in 1923, along with a Mrs. Winnie and her three children.  I do not know the first name of his wife but her last name was Bitner.  His brother-in-law was named Edward Bitner.  I have no information on the mother and father, except that they are buried in the Homestead Cemetery.  Mary Lloyd Davies died in 1905.  I also have no idea what happened to Jane.  She supposedly remarried to a Johnston and had a second daughter, Alice.  She died around 1922 of maybe breast cancer.  I am the great great granddaughter of the original Davies.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have an ancestor who died 26 Oct 1862 while serving in the Civil War. The National Archives widow's pension file indicated that the three of the children were at the of PA State Soldier's Orphan School.

My ancestor was Joseph ADAMS; his wife was Mary Jane DIAS.

Would there be any record of that school. They were from Elizabeth Township? I found the following source on the PA usgenweb page for Allegheny County. Do you have a copy of this book, and if so, is it available on inter-library loan?
